I was checking out a wedding venue a few weeks ago and as I looked over at the videographer I discovered a very old and dear friend. We had such a nice visit and of course I rushed home to check out his website and his work. Now I just can’t wait for the opportunity to work with Rob Cross.

I watched Rob work at the wedding and interact with the guests and bride and groom. I was sure that he was going to have a beautiful result. I was thrilled to watch the videos on his site. So not only have I found an old friend, but I’ve found an excellent videographer. I am proud to introduce him to you!!
Don’t Get Married Without Me I could go on and on about what a great guy he is and how great his work is, but I think I will let his work speak for itself.

As we all in the Houston area know, Ike blew through in September and even though Houstonians pulled themselves up and got back to business, every day we hear another story about people trying to put it all back together.

Weddings by Debbie is a wonderful salon carrying a wonderful selection of wedding gowns, bridesmaids dresses and prom dresses. Their building at 2237 Hwy6 South received a good amount of damage and owner A J Ruley found herself with dresses that she feared had been comprised. The cost to clean all those dresses was really high. A J contacted her insurance and filed a claim.

Now to the part that bargain shopping brides will find interesting. Those dresses are for sale at a huge savings. Salvex’s Salvage Company has those dresses and while they don’t normally open to the public they are available for sale. Salvex Salvage is located at 723 Main, Suite 600. They’re open from Friday, February 13 through February 15. To learn more call them at (713) 229-9000. An example of the savings, one of the dresses that retails for $1,300 is now $100.
They also have some prom dresses and evening gowns and some of those are being sold for $50.

You only have a few days to check this sale out but it might be worth the trip and the cost of cleaning your new purchase.

Just remember all sales are final.

I have a confession to make!!
I don’t have a lot of bad habits but I am a confirmed twelve step taking chocoholic!!
So it makes perfect sense that one of the vendors I treasure is Mark Caffey the Mark in Chocolates by Mark.
As I sat down to decide what to tell you about Chocolates by Mark, I realized how long I’ve known him and how many years I have loved his chocolate creations. When my now college freshman son (at about age 9) would find out I had seen Mark Caffey that day he would search my pockets and purse for one of the chocolate coins or truffles he knew I wouldn’t have left Mark without.
There are two very creative and wonderful sides to Mark in my mind. One is the ability to create really delicious chocolates. The other is his ability to work with you to in order to create just the right chocolate design or packaging design to fit your special event.

I remember some white chocolate Texas flags for a rehearsal dinner to set off the dessert or beautiful little silver organza bags filled with truffles for an open house that I was hosting.
Please check out his website for some terrific ideas and give them a call if you don’t see what you need.
When you call be sure to tell him that Pamela sent you. Maybe it will earn me a truffle or two !!pam-sig3
